India is bolstering its air defence capabilities with the Defence Acquisition Council's approval for new weapon systems, including the Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MR-SAM), Very Short Range Air Defence System (V-SHORADS), and Akash Tarang Anti-UAV Electronic Warfare systems.
