A high-ranking Afghan military officer who orchestrated a final stand against the Taliban's takeover has relocated to the United States and is currently working as an Uber driver in the capital.
The Pakistani Air Force (PAF) just bombed several cities in a neighbouring country which was once described by much stronger forces as a place where there were only rocks and mountains.
"A Pakistani fighter jet was shot down in the sixth district of Jalalabad city, and its pilot was captured alive," said police spokesman Tayeb Hammad.
The strikes, under Op ‘Ghazab lil-Haq’, were carried out in the early hours of Friday, Pakistan said, in response to the “unprovoked firing" by Afghanistan.
